Not Another Architectural Studio recently had the opportunity to undertake a project involving the design of a sunroom as an extension to an existing house. Situated in the northern region of Boston, MA. The existing two-story house featured a deck directly connected to the backyard—the chosen location for the sunroom.
The Wigerema family, desiring a comfortable space for leisurely activities such as reading and relaxation, collaborated with us during the design process. By engaging in discussions with the client and carefully analyzing the surroundings of the house, we identified the potential to create a room abundant in natural light—an environment fostering a stronger connection to the freshness of the outdoors.
Throughout the design phase, our focus extended beyond mere functionality. We incorporated charming furniture and exterior materials that seamlessly complemented the existing conditions of the house. Consequently, the sunroom addition not only emerged as a tranquil retreat but also transformed into an area where the Wegerema family crafts new memories and immortalizes cherished moments with their loved ones.
